Fans are devastated to learn Hollywood A-star couple Mel Gibson and Rosalind Ross have called it quits.
The duo has chosen to end their relationship after spending nine long and beautiful years together.
{img}The actor and director, 69, and the screenwriter, 35, chose to quietly separate a year back but remained focused on co-parenting their 8-year-old son named Lars.
'Although it's so sad to end this chapter in our lives, we are blessed and grateful to have a beautiful son and will continue to be the best parents possible,'- the post read, which was shared by the former couple in a joint statement to Gibson and Ross.
{img}The duo first met in 2014 through mutual friends and soon started to date. Three years after that, they welcomed their son together, just days before he got a Best Director Oscar nomination for Hacksaw Ridge.
During that period, Gibson reflected on the milestone moment, adding how there was nothing more meaningful than experiencing awards season while embracing new fatherhood. 'What could be more exciting than listening to the nominations getting announced while holding my newborn son,' he added in the public statement.
