US President Donald Trump just made a very unexpected appearance at the White House press briefing that was hosted by press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
She recently shared that she's pregnant and expecting her second child in May of this year. Leavitt had enthusiastically hyped up Trump's arrival and called him a very special guest.
{img}She also praised him for his first year back inside the office. Instead of the usual support, the president seemed to seize the moment and publicly question how effective his communication was.
This was an implication that they were not up to the mark or doing a good job of getting his message across. In the midst of the briefing, he held up a thick packet of his administration's claimed accomplishments.
{img}That's when he went on to boast about economic gains and other kinds of achievements while remarking that maybe he had a bad public relations team because his successes were not getting communicated in the right manner.
The comment got widely interpreted awkwardly, and the jab really had Leavitt speechless. Leavitt has been a strong defender of Trump and public positivity since day one, but seeing these dynamics play out might change her mind after all.
