The renamed 'Donald J Trump Institute of Peace' hosts first event

President Donald Trump is eager to be recognized by the world as a peacemaker, and he’s doing his best to pull out all the stops to achieve this goal.

This includes his latest effort to rename the building that houses the US Institute of Peace in downtown Washington.

‘Donald J. Trump’ was recently seen emblazoned across it in several places on what has often been dubbed the peace building. Officials mentioned how the building would now be known as the Donald Trump Institute of Peace.

The latest decision was made a day before the president hosted world leaders at the building to sign a brokered peace deal between Congo and Rwanda. He even gave a speech at the event as it got underway on Thursday. He mentioned how he was honored that this building had been renamed for him and marveled at the latest signage.

‘Boy, that is so beautiful!’- the President stated, thanking Secretary of State Marco Rubio for putting his name across the building. But many other critics, like Democrats and HR advocates, criticized this move and stated how it’s not appropriate to do something of this sort.
