‘You Disgust Me!’- Madonna Lashes Out At President Trump for ending World AIDS Day observance

Singing superstar and the Queen of Pop, Madonna, has slammed President Trump and his entire administration for directing government employees and agencies not to mark World AIDS Day this year.

Last month, public health expert Emily Bass publicized a State Department email where personnel were requested not to use government resources or communication channels to market the day, which was first marked in the year 1988. Many called the matter shameful and claimed it was a bigger and broader policy to refrain from messaging any commemorative day.

The singer joined a host of other activists and health experts enraged by the decision in a post that was shared through Instagram yesterday. This is where she called out the White House’s decision as ridiculous and also mentioned more about the human costs linked to the AIDS epidemic.

For nearly 40 years, this day was outlined internationally around the globe by people from different walks of life because millions of people’s lives were impacted by this mega health crisis, she added. She also shed light on how many have lost their loved ones to this deadly disease, which still has no cure.
