A couple in Florida has filed a major lawsuit against the Fertility Center of Orlando.
According to reports from local media outlets, the couple alleged that there was a major error during their IVF procedure that gave rise to the birth of their kid who is not related to them biologically.
As per recent court documents, the pair, who were identified anonymously as John and Jane Doe, underwent the IVF procedure in March of 2025 and had an embryo implanted into Jane's uterus.
The pregnancy progressed normally, and she delivered a healthy baby girl in December of last year. However, the parents spoke about how they got suspicious after the child's physical appearance failed to resemble either one of them.
This prompted genetic testing, which confirmed that the baby had no genetic relationship to either of the parents. This legal case claims that it proves the wrong embryo was implanted during the IVF technique carried out at the clinic.
