A devoted mother has passed away in what is being described as every New Yorker's worst nightmare.
The news comes after tragic reports revealed how she dropped into a manhole in Manhattan on Late Monday, desperately screaming 'I am dying!' while waiting for more help to arrive.
Donike Gocaj plummeted nearly 10 to 15 feet down into the uncovered utility hole near East 52nd Street and Fifth Avenue after she got out of her parked Mercedes-Benz, as confirmed by the police and witnesses.
She was just in the hole screaming that she was dying, as shared by a bystander who watched that horror unfold around 11:20 pm in front of the flagship Cartier store.
Despite rescue efforts made to remove her from the manhole and transport her to a nearby medical center, she ended up dying due to her traumatic injuries.
