A woman from Mississippi shared a recent post celebrating what appeared to be a baby shower for a 12-year-old relative, and now that has gone viral for obvious reasons.
The images were shared on X, where millions of viewers reacted with shock, anger, concern, and debate over teen pregnancy in America.
The post from April 27 was shared by Greenwood resident Sheila Marble, which showed her posing alongside the young girl and a 13-year-old boy with plenty of baby shower decor nearby in the background.
They made me a great glamom, the woman wrote.
Two days later, when the post was shared again through X, the post had reached more than 7.7 million views and turned a private family celebration into a national argument over what should or should not be celebrated in public.
