Three-time Super Bowl champion Monte Coleman dead at 68

Three-time Super Bowl champion with Washington and college football coach, Monte Coleman, has passed away at the age of 68.

The tragic news was confirmed by the University of Arkansas Pine Bluff, which shared how the death took place on Sunday. So far, no cause of death has been revealed.

The Pine Bluff native played 16 seasons in the National Football League with Washington and was part of the Super Bowl-winning teams in the years 1982, 1987, and 1991.

Coleman later took on the role of linebackers coach at Division I FCS Arkansas Pine Bluff and then eventually took over as the head coach after the 2007 season.

The Vice chancellor of the university shared more about how Coach Coleman represented everything that they strive for in their students. This includes the relentless commitment needed when training student-athletes. They sent out condolences to the family during this difficult period of mourning.
