At least 13 people are killed and more injured after 'explosive device' went off in 'terrorist attack' on bus

A tragic bombing incident on a Colombian highway left at least 14 people dead and dozens more seriously injured, including young children, which authorities claim to be related to guerrilla insurgents.

Videos were reportedly shared from a scene that showed damaged vehicles with debris strewn across the road in the southern Cauca region.

The Colombian president blamed the entire attack on rebels related to dissident factions of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.

Peace talks between FARC and the government in 2016 ended in a major deal under which thousands of fighters were demobilized, but some of them broke away and refused to disarm.

Those who carried out this attack were said to be terrorists, fascists, and drug traffickers, as shared on X.

"I want our very best soldiers to confront them,"- he continued.
