President Trump says he's honored after being asked why shooting attempts continue to happen to him, right after an attack at the White House Correspondents' Dinner.
Authorities were seen apprehending a suspect identified as Cole Tomas Allen after several gunshots rang out at the Washington Hilton Hotel on Saturday night.
{img}The hotel was hosting the correspondents' dinner, which is intended to raise funds for young journalism students who could get financial assistance from the White House Correspondents' Association.
Trump was reportedly in attendance for this event for the first time since he's been in office, with his wife, Melania, and Vice President JD Vance also on the guest list.
But things were seen ending very quickly as they began when Trump was evacuated as the gunshots started to ring out. As a result, the entire evening was canceled abruptly.
