President Trump was seen hitting back at Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, after the EU leader criticized his recent social media broadsides against Pope Leo XIV.
Meloni mentioned in a statement that was shared on April 13 that Trump's anger over the pope's opposition to the was so shocking and beyond unacceptable.

"The Pope is the head of the Catholic Church, and it's right and normal that he calls for peace and condemns every form of war"- she continued.
Asked about Meloni's statement in an interview over the phone, the President did not hold back on how he felt about her stance. "It's she who is unacceptable because she does not mind that Iran has a nuclear weapon and would blow up Italy in two minutes if they got the chance," he added.

The president said he was appalled by Meloni's lack of support for America and Israel's military offensive in Iran and that the Italian leader is so much more different than what he had imagined.
