School shooting rampage leaves at least 18 injured as pupil opens fire with hunting rifle

Tragic reports are speaking about a school shooting rampage in Turkey that left at least 18 people injured after a former student opened fire using a hunting rifle.

Special security forces were seen being deployed to the Ahmet Koyuncu Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School in the Siverek District of Sanliurfa province following a devastating attack.

Students as well as teachers have since then been evacuated from this scene. Governor Sildak spoke to local media outlets and mentioned to the gunman how the teen gunman took his own life using his weapon after the shooting occurred.

Sildak mentioned how the attacker was a former student of the school and entered the grounds before he started to fire randomly.

Shocking TV footage from the incident showed ambulances standing by outside the school as students fled the building. Local reports also suggested that the gunman took some of the students hostage after entering the school.

The matter is currently under investigation as it's a breaking story with more details to follow soon.
