US, Iran fail to reach peace agreement after marathon talks in Pakistan

Vice President JD Vance mentioned how the US and Iran failed to reach any kind of peace deal to end their six-week-long war that rocked the whole Middle East.

They blamed Tehran's refusal to give up the nuclear ambitions, leaving a great degree of uncertainty over whether fighting would resume.

Vance delivered a quick hit update after 21 hours of grueling negotiations in Pakistan, noting some meaningful discussions that were held with Iran, but not those that brokered a deal on the terms laid down by the USA.

Vance shared how the bad news was that they failed to reach any kind of agreement while speaking to reporters in the Pakistani capital city of Islamabad.

"And I think that it's bad news for Iran much more than it's bad news for the USA. They have chosen not to accept our terms. So we go back to the US, having not come to any kind of agreement.

Iran issued a similar statement, reminding the USA how talks had failed and that it was in no rush for another peace meeting, as negotiations were nowhere near on the cards.
