3 People Injured, Machete-Wielding Man Shot Dead After He Attacked in N.Y.C.’s Grand Central Station

A man who referred to himself as Lucifer ended up stabbing three people with a machete at New York City's Grand Central Terminal and was shot and killed by cops who were responding to this incident.

As per the New York Police Department, a male suspect was identified by the police commissioner as 44-year-old Anthony Griffin, who entered the city's major transit hub holding a machete.

Cops claim Griffin first entered the subway system at the Vernon Boulevard station in Queens at about 9:30 am local time and was seen boarding a number 7 train to the Grand Central Station.

He was caught behaving in an erratic manner, repeatedly mentioning how he was Lucifer.

Police were alerted to the assault in progress at 9:40 am, and by this time, an 84-year-old man had sustained serious lacerations to the head and face.
