While Netflix prices continue to rise in the US, the streaming giant might have to reverse that trend in Italy.
On Friday, a court in Rome was seen sharing how the platform's price increases over the last seven years were so unlawful, and that this streamer needed to refund the customers located in Italy.
{img}Netflix violated Italy's Consumer Code by altering the subscription price without any kind of valid reason. Specifically, the ruling states that Netflix breached this code in 2017, 2019, 2021, and 2024, as per Euro News.
Each subscriber would be entitled to a reduction in the current subscription price and reimbursement of applicable past charges. Some customers might even go on to get bigger compensation, as per Reuters.
