A hiker was recently airlifted to safety from a mountain in Arizona after he was stung over 100 times by bees over the weekend as per officials.
The man reported more than 100 stings by bees near the summit of Lookout Mountain Preserve in North Phoenix on Saturday morning, as per the fire department.
{img}The stings left him unable to continue his descent, as shared by fire officials. Rescue teams from Phoenix and Glendale responded and carried out a hoist operation to airlift a hiker from the mountain.
He was transferred to another ambulance at the trailhead and on to the hospital in critical condition, as shared by the Fire Department. The fire department then warned hikers to stop disturbing hives and scented products and to wear light colored attire when they wished to explore the outdoors.
{img}In case they did encounter a swarm of bees, there were instructions provided on what to do next, including running away swiftly and keeping your head protected as well as your face at all times, as per the fire department.
