American CEO, mom of 3 killed in Nicaragua horrific crash on dream vacation, 11-year-old son critically injured

A high-powered CEO from America was tragically killed in a terrifying tourist crash in Nicaragua while enjoying a vacation with her partner and their three young kids.

One of them suffered from critical injuries. Kasey Grelle, who co-founded the St. Louis-based marketing consulting firm Aus Insights, died when an open-air tourist transport truck carrying her family and other passengers crashed inside the Rancho Santana resort.

Her 11-year-old son, named Julian, was critically injured and soon airlifted to a St. Louis Hospital as per a family fundraiser that was shared through GoFundMe.

Grelle is survived by her husband, Dave, and their young kids. Grelle's brother mentioned in a tribute: 'We are devastated to share the tragic passing of my sister." He detailed that she was on a family vacation and on a tour put on by the resort she was staying at with her kids, Kit and Julian, when the driver lost control and rolled the vehicle, killing Kasey and seriously injuring Julian.
