French President Emmanuel Macron hit back at Donald Trump on Thursday after the US President mocked Macron's relationship with his partner as he chided France for refusing to join the US-Israeli offensive against Iran.
The two leaders leave touted their friendly relationship in the past. This is especially true during Trump's first term in office. But a private event that was held on Wednesday, the US President was back to his usual self and lambasted the French leader for not coming to America's rescue in the Middle East.

It was clear that he was referencing the video from 2025 in which Brigitte Macron appeared to shove her partner in the face while aboard the French presidential jet.
