The parents of a three-year-old girl are now taking legal action after their child sustained serious injuries when she was sucked into a large pool drain.
According to reports from local media outlets, Paloma Quatrini was believed to be enjoying her family time at a resort swimming pool in Mexico when the drain cover malfunctioned all of a sudden. This caused the young girl to be drawn towards the powerful suction, as per local media outlets.
The girl was only a few days away from her fourth birthday when this arose, and she became completely trapped inside the mechanism while her frantic parents attempted to pull her free.
Eventually, the pair started to locate the emergency shut-off switch that was seen below the pool, and that was the point when her daughter was released as per a complaint generated.
She was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital when doctors saw she suffered from serious internal injuries. The suction was so strong that her small intestine ended up getting ripped out of her body.
