Wife Of Hawaii Doctor Accused Of Attempted Homicide Details Birthday Hike Attack

The wife of a doctor in Hawaii took the stand in his attempted murder trial on Tuesday, recounting a very terrifying birthday hike that ended with him trying to inject her with a syringe and bashing her head with a rock.

Arielle Konig spoke inside an Oahu courtroom about the attack that followed a cliffside couple's selfie that she claims her partner had requested for to pose on March 24th, 2025, on the Pali Puka Trail, which is located northeast of Honolulu.

Dr. Konig has now pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted murder. His lawyer described the incident as a moment of self-defense and nothing else, arguing more about the incident in his opening statement last week.

This is where he revealed that Konig struck his wife with a rock after he thought she would be trying to push him from the trail.

In her testimony, Ariell Konig shared how she felt very uncomfortable standing so close to the cliff's edge and even asked her partner to move so she could get by safely.

Moments after that, Arielle Konig mentioned more about how he forcefully grabbed her by the arm, uttering some expletives, and started to push her back towards the cliff.
