A US Secret Service agent assigned to former First Lady Jill Biden's protective detail ended up shooting himself in the leg.
The incident took place at Philadelphia International Airport on Friday.
Biden was reportedly at the airport but not present during the incidental shooting. As per her spokesperson, the shooting occurred in the morning, and the agent suffered non-life-threatening injuries following the negligent discharge while he was handling a service weapon. No one else was injured in the incident.
The agent was given immediate medical assistance at the airport and was transported to a nearby medical facility. He's now said to be in a stable condition.
Now, the Secret Services firm is said to be reviewing all of the facts and circumstances linked to the incident. Jill Biden was in New York for the opening of an off-Broadway play when this incident took place.
