The International Olympic Committee has left the world stunned after making a groundbreaking decision yesterday regarding the participation of trans athletes.
According to reports from local media outlets, all transgender women will no longer be allowed to take part in the women's competition.
{img}The news was slammed as ridiculous and a black day for the Trans community by several leading trans Olympians who felt it was discrimination to roll out new guidelines before the 2028 Olympics in Los Angeles.
"Eligibility for any female category event at the games, including individual and team sports, is now restricted to biological females,"- the IOC statement went on to read.
{img}Right now, it's not clear if any trans women are competing at the Olympic level. The new eligibility policy that would apply is said to protect fairness, safety, and integrity in this female category, as per the IOC.
