Savannah Guthrie recently sat down for her first interview since her mother's kidnapping. The Today Show co-anchor spoke with her former colleague Hoda Kotb during a two part long discussion, which is the first that was aired yesterday.
{img}Savannah was asked by the host about the speculations that swirled regarding her family possibly being involved in her mother's abduction.
"When you talk about cruel speculations about a possible family member being involved, how do you weather that?"- the host asked.
{img}Savannah mentioned how that was just unbearable, and the number of possible conspiracy theories coming out at a moment when the family was already so distressed was just so painful for her.
"And it piles pain upon pain, and there are just no words for those people. I don't understand, and I will never understand,"- she continued.
