A New York City teenager has passed away after falling from a light tower that he had climbed to try to take some scenic pictures of the city's skyline.
NYPD officers were seen rushing to Bushwick Inlet Park in Brooklyn at about 1:15 pm local time on Friday after they got a call about a person who had fallen from an elevated position.
{img}At the scene, first responders found the 16-year-old teenager who was unconscious and unresponsive lying on the ground.
He was soon rushed to a nearby Bellevue Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The teenager's parents identified him as Timothee Englund, aged 16.
{img}"We just lost our son, he fell down in a terrible accident," his family cried.
Police told local media outlets that the high schooler had fallen nearly 15 feet from the tower inside the park. He was said to be taking pictures for his social media during the time of his fall.
