Trump warns of ‘very bad’ future if NATO allies refuse to help open critical Strait of Hormuz

President Trump warned NATO that America and its allies would face a very bad future if it failed to support the US in helping to reopen the crucial Strait of Hormuz as oil prices soar during the Iran war.

Trump mentioned during a recent interview with the Financial Times that European countries and other leading global powers that make a living through Gulf oil needed to wake up before it's too late and join America's led effort in securing the waterway where roughly a fifth of the world's oil supply continues to flow.

"It's only appropriate that people who are the beneficiaries of this Strait would be helping to make sure that nothing bad happens over there!"- Trump repeated during a recent interview with a British outlet.

He also argued that China and Europe are more heavily dependent on oil from that region than America itself.

The president added that if there is no response or if there is a negative reply, then he strongly feels that this could lead to a very bad outcome for all the stakeholders involved. So far, France, the UK, and Canada have all rejected Trump's calls to deploy their navies and help defend it against Iran.
