Singer and songwriter Billy Joel is said to be recovering well after being diagnosed with a rare brain disorder called normal pressure hydrocephalus, or NPH.
The news comes after his daughter shared a health update regarding her father, adding how her dad is actively working on his recovery and remains determined to better his health.
As per Alexa Ray, the 76-year-old star musician has been regularly attending physical therapy sessions and following a very strict diet plan.
This has assisted him in losing weight and improving his recovery. She also praised her dad's resilience, calling him a true fighter who is determined to remain healthy no matter what challenges might come in his way.
Joel first shared how, in May of 2025, he was diagnosed with the condition called NPH. This gives rise to a buildup of fluid in the brain, and it can impact vision, balance, hearing, and more. Due to the diagnosis and treatment requirements, he's had to cancel several tour dates and take a step back from performing for a period of time.
