Liza Minnelli Blasts Gene Hackman One Year After Hollywood Icon’s Tragic Death

Actress Liza Minnelli is not getting much love after sharing some very interesting choice of words for her former late co-star, Gene Hackman, on his one-year death anniversary.

The star was seen promoting her candid new memoir, Kids, Wait Till You Hear This!. And that's when the legendary star shared her experience on-set while working with Gene Hackman on the 1975 comedy-drama Lucky Lady. Minnelli recalls how the on-set chemistry between the two actors was so poor.

This includes how Hackman was downright rude to her during filming. She noted how the director Stanley Donen later explained to her that Hackman was dismissive of her work.

This made it so difficult to connect in their roles and contribute to the movie's energy. The revelation paints a very unexpected image of the veteran star's behavior early in his career, especially given his later reputation as a highly respected and accomplished performer.

The actress's comments are met with extreme backlash from fans and critics who recall the late performer as the kindest, most talented, and respectful actor of the industry.
