Mom, 28, Who Was ‘Afraid’ to Go Down Amusement Park Slide, Falls 15 Feet to Her Death

A tragic incident took place at an amusement park in Colombia that involved a young mother who passed away after falling from a slide.

The victim was identified as 28-year-old Yuris Cristel Camila Garcia Manrique, who happened to be visiting the Entire Flores Amusement park this week. As per reports, she seemed to be so hesitant and afraid to go down the slide before the incident took place.

Video footage from the incident showed Manrique seated at the top of the attraction and asking a park attendant if someone would be waiting for her at the bottom.

After being reassured that this was safe, she started to slide down. However, she lost control at a curved section of the slide and was thrown off, falling nearly 15 feet to the ground.

The fall gave rise to some serious injuries, including trauma to the brain, chest, and abdomen.

Emergency responders rushed her to a nearby hospital, but she passed away due to the severity of the injuries that she sustained. An investigation has been launched as the family demands answers regarding what went wrong.
