Shocking reports are speaking about a 20-year-old college student from Florida being arrested after authorities claimed she delivered a baby at home and then chose to leave the newborn alone to die.
The woman who has now been identified as Anne Mae Demegillo from Palm Coast in Flagler County continues to face the charges of aggravated manslaughter of a child.
{img}As per investigators, the situation came to light when someone contacted authorities and requested a welfare check.
The caller mentioned how the student had sent out some messages claiming that she had secretly been pregnant and had unexpectedly given birth at her home. Deputies went to her residence and started to question her more about the situation.
{img}During the entire investigation, Demegillo told deputies that she had been experiencing severe abdominal pain and then gave birth right inside the bathroom. She was seated on the toilet. The baby initially cried but later stopped moving. She then left the child in the toilet. Without any kind of medical assistance, it died, and she chose to stuff the body in a duffel bag and hide it in the closet. In the evening, she buried the child's remains in a grave.
