A senior executive at Estee Lauder, Kendal Ascher, has suddenly passed away in his husband's arms inside their New York City apartment.
56-year-old Ascher died on February 25 at the couple's $2.8 million home in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City. As per his husband, William Howe, the incident took place very fast after Ascher mentioned he was feeling lightheaded.
Howe explained how Ascher had only recently taken a shower and sat down because of how dizzy he felt. After a few minutes, Howe assisted him to stand up so they could go to the bedroom.
However, after a few steps, Ascher suddenly fell down and collapsed. Howe mentioned how his husband became so unresponsive within a few seconds and died in his arms despite attempts to assist him.
The pair had only recently married in October after being together for nearly 12 years. Howe described Ascher as joyful, playful, and deeply caring towards other people.
