‘She Counted the Days”- US soldier killed in Iran war was days away from returning home to her Husband and Two Children

A tragic story has emerged about one of the soldiers killed in the war between the US and Iran.

According to reports from local media outlets, Nicole M. Amor was a US Army Reserve soldier and mother of two who was killed while being deployed overseas just days before she was scheduled to return home.

Amor was only 39 and serving in Kuwait when a drone strike rammed into the same military location that she happened to be in.

The soldier was making big plans to return home to her husband and two kids, but faith had other plans for her as she was killed in the incident.

Her husband, Joey Amor, shared more about how the duo had spoken only hours before the strike took place.

They were texting one another about everything, including how she had slipped and fallen the night before while working long shifts. When he woke up the next morning and did not find a reply, he later learned that she had been killed in the attack.

The most painful part, he says, is that she was so near to completing her deployment and returning home to her loved ones.
