US President Donald Trump has publicly addressed the deaths of three US servicemen who were reportedly killed during the recent ongoing strikes in the conflict with Iran.
He reaffirmed to the nation that the US would avenge their deaths and vowed to continue with military pressure on forces in the country.
{img}He also acknowledged in both a video message and a phone interview that American casualties are a tragic part of the war, warning that he sadly does expect more similar casualties to arise during the military operation.
When asked when he expected the matter to end, the president roughly said a few weeks, leaving people stunned around the globe. Many did not anticipate such a long war, as the entire world is pulled into the possibility of WW3 arising.
{img}Trump also mentioned how the operation was a necessary one to defend the country's interests and deliver a severe blow to those he deemed to be terrorists.
Moreover, he framed the campaign as part of a bigger mission to protect national security and regional stability. But this was met with massive criticism from his own MAGA party, especially as reports of several military plane crashes in Kuwait taking place today were revealed. Many questioned the president's motive and whether a prolonged war was actually in America's best interest or not.
