Colorado quarterback, Dominiq Ponder, has reportedly passed away during the early hours of Sunday morning after he was said to be involved in a tragic car crash in Boulder County, Colorado.
Officials were seen speaking about how the star was driving his 2023 Tesla Model 3 at about 3 am when he suddenly lost control of the vehicle on a curve, and that caused the car to cross the opposite lane, slam into a guardrail, and an electrical pole, and then roll down an embankment before it caught on fire.
{img}First responders were seen rushing to the scene, but they pronounced him dead at the scene, and investigators do believe that speed might have been a factor in this crash as the investigation continues.
{img}Ponder originally hailed from Opa Locka in Florida. He transferred to Colorado in 2024 after starting his college career at Bethune-Cookman. He had also played in two games during the 2025 season. Known for his great passion and leadership, he was said to be a respected member of the Buffaloes football program. The news of his sudden and shocking death has left the entire community devastated as tributes poured out in his honor.
