Kelly Clarkson is not backing down from her dispute with a Brooklyn store after its response to her complaint about an alleged rude shopping experience.

The singer took to social media on Sunday, October 11, after Art of Play addressed the controversy surrounding her visit. Clarkson had previously claimed that an employee made her feel as though she could not afford an item she wanted to buy, comparing the experience to the famous shopping scene in the 1990 film _Pretty Woman_.

The disagreement centered on a singing and dancing bird automaton named Molly. Clarkson said she pointed to a price tag and was told the item cost $15,000, with the employee offering to find her something comparable.

However, the store offered a different explanation. Art of Play said Molly was a one-of-a-kind display piece permanently attached to the wall and was not for sale. The business explained that a similar machine owned by the artist was valued at $15,000.

Clarkson rejected that account, insisting that the conversation had happened as she described it. She accused the store of being dishonest and reiterated her criticism of the employee's behavior.

The store also expressed surprise at the widespread backlash following Clarkson's public complaint, saying its small business had suddenly become the focus of intense online criticism.
