A 12-year-old girl was killed after a parking dispute between two men escalated into gunfire at a youth football event, leaving her family devastated and several others wounded.

According to police, the shooting began after an argument allegedly broke out over a parking spot. Two men reportedly pulled guns and opened fire at each other, with Khloe caught in the crossfire. Authorities said she was not believed to have been the intended target and was likely near the field watching the football game when she was struck.

Khloe’s family is now remembering her as a loving daughter, sister and granddaughter. Her grandmother, Donna Reese, said Khloe called her every day after work and described her as a great big sister and daughter. “Now, who’s going to call my phone?” Reese said while mourning her granddaughter.

Khloe’s mother, Kristin Reese, also said she wants justice for her daughter. The family said they had not planned to stay at the event for long and were there to drop something off when the shooting happened.

Police are still investigating and searching for those responsible. No arrests had been announced as of Oct. 5, while detectives continued following leads in the case. The shooting happened at a youth football event in Baltimore.
