Air Force Veteran, Who Was Alex Pretti's Patient 2 Weeks Ago, Recalls How the Nurse 'Comforted' and 'Helped' Him

Air Force Veteran Sonny Fouts is breaking his silence after the death of ICU nurse Alex Pretti.

He recently shared how Pretti took care of him just two weeks before he was shot dead. Fouts mentioned how he had undergone a long and difficult surgery at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center.

He was the nurse assigned to his recovery inside the ICU. From this moment, Fouts shared how his loving nature and patience are what assisted him in becoming better, and he just cannot believe that he's gone now.

"He offered me comfort, reassurance, compassion, and so much love during a time when I was so overwhelmed from my illness," the veteran continued.

Even the veteran's wife, Kimberly, also felt that his empathetic approach was second to none. He spoke with so much kindness and warmth, and honored both of them with respect and attention when they most needed it.
