A massive blaze was seen breaking out in a Manhattan skyscraper on Tuesday morning, close to the start of New York City's St. Patrick's Day Parade, as per authorities.
First responders were seen rushing to the building near East 43rd Street and Madison Avenue just before 10 am.

Huge plumes of black smoke were seen billowing from the building's rooftop as sirens blared out, as shared by footage by the FDNY.
Other clips shared on social media captured flames sprouting from the top of the high-rise.
The city's official emergency notification system warned of traffic delays, road closures, and mass transit disruptions as a result of this giant inferno.
