A woman was recently killed during a St. Patrick's Day parade in Kentucky after her foot ended up snagging on a moving float.
This resulted in her being dragged underneath it and also led to her being crushed to death in front of dozens of celebrants. The freak accident arose as dozens of people were seen lining the streets for the annual 53rd St. Patrick's Day Parade in Louisville on Saturday.

The woman was believed to be in her 50s and was said to be walking alongside a float that was full of hay bales, which was hitched to a gray colored pickup truck, when her foot all of a sudden got caught on the vehicle, as per local reports.
Moments after that, she was dragged under the float and run over, giving rise to the tragedy. The vehicle ended up skidding to a stop as volunteers and parade goers rushed to the woman's aid.

She was rushed to the University of Louisville Hospital, where she was soon pronounced dead as per the police. Thousands of others on the streets had no clue why the procession stop, after which they were informed about the tragedy that took place.
