Tragic reports are speaking about the death of a teen from Detroit who passed away during a horrifying ATV crash.
According to local media outlets, James Dylan Burkett Jr. passed away after his vehicle was rear-ended on a 6-mile stretch in Redford Township, Mich, at about 8 pm local time on Sunday.
Witnesses shared more about how they heard this crash, describing it as a loud thud sound. Some claimed it sounded more like someone rammed into another vehicle pretty badly.
The victim who passed away in the crash was not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident, as per the police. His father shared moments before the tragedy ensued that he had just lectured his son to wear a helmet and put his safety before anything. He revealed how his son never liked to wear his helmet because he used to drive with his headphones on.
"I told him that the only reason I say this is because I loved him and I didn't want to get hurt"- the dad recalled as his final conversation.
But little did he know that his next ATV ride was going to be his last, just 30 minutes after his last chat.
