Megan Pickford, wife of England goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, has opened up about a nightmare journey home from the World Cup, describing it as "24 hours of airport hell."
Megan had been traveling around the US supporting the Three Lions throughout the tournament, but her trip home turned chaotic following England's heartbreaking semi-final defeat to Argentina. In a video shared on TikTok, she explained that their original flight sat on the runway for six hours before being forced to turn around after the crew exceeded their allowed working hours, leading to a scramble to rebook.
To make matters worse, this came after Megan had already dealt with lost luggage earlier in the trip. After finally reclaiming their suitcases, she and her three children, seven-year-old son Arlo, three-year-old daughter Ostara Haze, and 15-month-old daughter Misty Celine, were left with no choice but to sleep overnight in the airport terminal.
Megan described the terminal as freezing, revealing she even had to buy a hoodie from the gift shop just to stay warm through the night. Despite the exhausting ordeal, she kept things lighthearted while documenting the experience online, resonating with many parents who've faced similar travel disasters with young kids in tow.
