Matt Damon walked the red carpet at the New York City premiere of Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey on Tuesday night — and he did not walk it alone. His wife Luciana Barroso-Damon and their 20-year-old daughter Isabella were right beside him.
Damon, 55, arrived holding hands with Isabella outside AMC Lincoln Square, both of them dressed for the occasion — he in a blue suit and polka dot tie, she in an elegant black slip dress that had her nearly towering over her dad in heels. Luciana walked alongside them in a silky white backless gown that stopped people in their tracks.
The family moment came at a point when Damon has been openly reflective about how quickly his daughters are growing up. In a recent interview with People he talked about what he is being mindful of as his family enters a new phase — two older daughters already out of the house, two still in high school, and a window he knows from experience closes faster than anyone expects.
He has four daughters in total — Alexia, 27, from Luciana's previous relationship whom he legally adopted, Isabella, 20, Gia, 17, and Stella, 15. Alexia has already built a career as a cinematographer with twelve films to her name before the age of thirty. Isabella is studying at NYU and Damon says she is a fantastic writer who could follow him into screenwriting. The younger two are still in high school — and he says he will see where they land.
All four daughters flew to London last week for the UK premiere of The Odyssey. The family got together for a rare group photo that Damon has not stopped talking about since.
The Odyssey releases July 17 and critics have already called it an absolute triumph.
