A father who spent $800 on a professional DJ for his daughter's Sweet 16 celebration was left frustrated after claiming the entertainer played the wrong playlist throughout the event and refused to make changes when asked.

According to the family's account, weeks of planning had gone into organizing the milestone birthday party. The father had reportedly provided a playlist in advance, carefully selecting songs that matched his daughter's preferences and the atmosphere they hoped to create for the special occasion.

However, when the party began, guests quickly noticed that many of the songs being played were unfamiliar and did not match the requested selections. The music reportedly ranged from tracks the birthday girl didn't recognize to songs that failed to appeal to the mostly teenage crowd attending the event.

The father said he approached the DJ several times during the evening to address the issue and request changes. Despite those conversations, the music reportedly continued without significant adjustments. As a result, some guests spent less time on the dance floor than expected, and the family felt the entertainment failed to reflect the celebration they had envisioned.
The incident sparked discussion online, with many people debating whether the family should seek a partial refund. Some argued that DJs should follow client requests whenever possible, while others suggested there may have been a misunderstanding regarding the playlist provided before the event.

Although the party continued and guests still celebrated the birthday milestone, the music mishap became one of the most talked-about moments of the evening, leaving the family disappointed with a service they believed should have enhanced the event rather than detract from it.
