The Wimbledon men's final on Sunday came with 29 degree heat, a packed Centre Court, and two young royals who were not going to let the sun ruin their afternoon.
Prince George, 12, and Princess Charlotte, 11, attended the final alongside their parents William and Kate — with youngest sibling Louis notably absent from the day out. The family settled into the Royal Box for what turned out to be a brilliant final, with Italy's Jannik Sinner retaining his Wimbledon title against Germany's Alexander Zverev.
But before the tennis got fully underway, George and Charlotte had a more pressing matter to deal with. The heat.
The two were spotted dashing out of the Royal Box mid-session and returning shortly after with woven sun hats and shades — looking highly amused by the whole situation. Kate had already pulled out a portable fan to keep cool. William, true to form, appeared completely unbothered by the temperature.
Kate arrived looking radiant in a green gown and could not stop smiling throughout the afternoon. Charlotte wore a floaty blue dress and looked every bit as elegant as her mother. George, now visibly growing up, looked relaxed and completely at ease in the Royal Box environment that has become increasingly familiar to him over the years.
The family also shared a moment with British player Arthur Fery — who made history this year as the first wildcard to reach the semi-final in 25 years. Fery has spoken about inviting the Wales children to play tennis with him after striking up a friendship with the family during the championships.
